Otherwise McLaren would have been leading the Championship. The race also marked the 100th race start for Australian Red Bull driver Mark Webber. Notes * Lap Leaders: Kimi Räikkönen 42 (1-15, 17-31, 33-44), Felipe Massa 2 (16, 32) * Kimi Räikkönen won this race a third time in a row, winning also in 2004 and 2005. The Belgian Grand Prix was not held in 2006, while work to the circuit was carried out. * The first four qualifiers finished in the first four positions in the race. Also, the fifth and sixth in qualifying were fifth and sixth, but in reversed order. That means none of the top drivers were out.
