Rosberg was again fastest in the second practice session. This time, Barrichello was second in his Brawn with Toyota's Jarno Trulli, who did not do very well in the first practice, in third and Mark Webber of Red Bull in fourth ahead of Button followed by Glock and Nakajima. Sebastian Vettel, also in a Red Bull, managed to make a much better time than in the first practice, finishing eighth. The three teams running the controversial rear diffusers (Brawn, Williams and Toyota) were consistently the best teams on the track.
