Couple of intriguing products announced last week... @Robppj tweeted us a heads up on Alienware’s new, and not quite triangular, Alienware Area-51 Gaming Desktop, while Amazon announced the Echo, which can stream music, but is mostly listening for you to say “Alexa!” and ask it a question, like “Will it rain tomorrow?” or “When is Thanksgiving?” or “Play my “dinner party” playlist.” Hmmmm… Apps You Pay For! A couple of weeks one of our picks for the week brought up the question “Do you pay for apps and other software?" And most of you said Yes, some said NO! In the "Where was this when I needed it category"- Apple finally released a self service online tool that will Deregister your phone number from iMessage. In theory, if your turn off iMessage before leaving iOS and the iPhone, you’ll get all your texts. In many cases, people didn’t know, and, worse yet, even if you did turn off iMessage before getting rid of your phone…texts from iOS users didn't come through. Great to see Apple finally make fixing this problem easier… who wants to spend 30 minutes on the phone with tech support???
