Taiga and her dad start to reconnect and Taiga wants to switch parts with Ami so that her father can see her good side. When Ryuji tells Minori of them reconciling, Minori is upset and argues with Ryuji because she thinks Taiga should not have anything to do with her dad, but Ryuji thinks she should. Taiga tries to calm things down by making the two of them shake hands, but Ryuji walks away angrily. During the festival, Taiga's dad does not show up, and Ryuji still has not apologized to Minori.
