A friendly duel is to occur between students from Judai's academy and from North school. Ryo reccomends Judai who Chronos hates of course and chooses Misawa. They agree to have the two duel to decide who should represent the academy. They fight as friends and rivals alike. The situation turns against Judai when Misawa prevents him from using Polmerasation. Meanwhile, an old man confronts Asuka at the dorm about the story of students dissapearing at the dorm(see episode five and six)
