In deze driedelige serie onderzoekt theoretisch fysicus Michio Kaku de grenzen van de wetenschap van vandaag, morgen en daarna. Volgens Kaku staat de mensheid voor een keerpunt in de geschiedenis. Gedurende deze eeuw zullen we de overgang maken van het 'tijdperk van ontdekkingen' naar het 'tijdperk van beheersing', een periode waarin we van passieve observatoren van de natuur naar actieve choreochrafen ervan. Dit zal ons niet alleen ongekende mogelijkheden brengen, maar ook grote verantwoordelijkheden.
