V Lands Reaper Star Bret Harrison

He made a deal with the devil in 'Reaper;' now he'll explain what the heck the aliens are up to in 'V.'

Bret Harrison, who played Sam Oliver in the CW cult hit 'Reaper,' has signed on to play Dr. Sidney Miller on ABC's 'V,' according to The Ausiello Files. Harrison's character, who appears in the season 2 premiere in November, may be able to tell us humans why the sky turned red on last season's 'V' finale.

His first scene is reportedly with Erica (Elizabeth Mitchell), who shows up on his doorstep looking for answers.

'Reaper' aired from 2007 to 2009. Before that, Harrison appeared on the short-lived Fox comedy 'The Loop' and the Fox and WB sitcom 'Grounded for Life.'

The addition of Harrison is the second of recent cast adds for 'V.' The drama added Jane Badler, who played the top alien on the original NBC series, last week. Badler will play the mom of Anna (Morena Baccarin), who is similarly the head alien in charge on the reboot.
